RCC is full quality verbatim real time speech to text translation on the phone or with an online connection. About 46 million Americans are deaf, deafened, or have a hearing loss and captioning is required for full communication access. As Video Relay has achieved federal support for roughly 2% of these millions, those who use and deserve access via sign language, for the other many millions, current systems fall short for modern life. Full quality real time text is needed for education, literacy, employment, medical and family communications, skills training, and much more.
