We welcome your interest! CCAC has two slightly-different membership applications online - two simple and short forms to apply for CCAC membership, see the links to the left.
One is for Consumers and others - for all who want, need, or support inclusion of captioning for all. If the form does not "submit" automatically, email all the information requested on the form and we will process it. Email: ccacaptioning@gmail.com.
The other membrship application is for Providers -- all who do captioning of any sort or related transcription, translation, etc. A "yes, we agree" is required on the Provider form.

The CCAC is an online working community -- a community of practice -- of consumers, providers, and many others who support inclusion of CART and captioning in many places needed. Members are invited to subscribe to the CCAC Members' Forum, a ccac googlegroup, not your average list however. Join to learn, share information, build knowledge, and also get active in a local, state, national or international captioning advocacy project.
Your project may be small or large, e.g., a series of messages to people and places where CART, captioning or higher quality speech-to-text is needed, or working with others on a defined new CCAC project, in one of the many CCAC "areas of interest." If this is all new for your, take you time to join, learn, and then get involved.
After you click on the form you need, on the sidebar, you will be asked simply for the following information:
NAME, EMAIL – A GMAIL ADDRESS IS BEST, LOCATION - FULL ADDRESSAFFILIATION(S) - Name of your company with webaddress if provider, associations you belong to for peole with deafness or hearing loss, other groups, captioning organizations, or related. AREAS OF INTEREST (CCAC CATEGORIES OF LIFE) for Captioning Advocacy Projects (caps) - a selection of one, a few, or all of these categories - education and training, health care, employment, entertainment, telecommunications, transportation, sports and recreation, clubs and religious, public safety, courts and justice, government and citizenship (e.g. town meetings), or another category you suggest.
